Our Own Field of Dreams…

David Gray at Wamu Theater – MSG – NYC

I have always liked David Gray…but not like I will after tonights show. I always thought he was a spitting image of a Marine I knew out in 29 Palms…like spot on. His name escapes me, he must not have been that great a friend. All I know is his face I remebered, along with his male pattern baldness that was premature for his age. As for DG, I knew he had an incredibly unique voice and I knew his singles…but I never knew what a great songwriter he was and I sure as hell didn’t know what a live performer he is. I will see him every time he is here. The new song he played…something about “accumulation” took my breathe away.

Not very good at these mid show posts…hopefully I will get better in time. The double fisted triple jacks-n-ginger probably don’t help.
