This idea comes out of the sticks and rust and flashing traffic lights that we all come from. Small Towns.
The thought is to build a place that all of us with the commonality of starting our days from the rural parts of this (an any) country and we have a need grow, share, express and challenge. We could have moved away or stayed where we were, but we live with a our minds and eyes open to the restrictions of the small town mentality.
We are here to focus, share, express and discuss (but not limited to):
- Art
- Music
- Film
- Literature
- Sports
- Pop Culture
- History
- Poker
This list is just off the top of my head. Really, you can write about anything. You can see all the categories so far on the right hand side of this page —>
Anyway, whether you come from a small town or just are intrigued by it, I ask you to sign up and become involved. I have some member tips and “tutorials” on the STUFF FOR MEMBERS page.
So when are we gonna see The Rural Minority hit the stage? Or at least see some acoustic numbers.

As updates become more frequent and varied, and as my posted content becomes increasingly awesome, I think its pretty clear that TRM needs its own Twitter acc’t. A simple link whenver there’s a new post with title/clever tweet to accompany. Whadya think, Pat?
