Our Own Field of Dreams…

And it don’t stop.

Check out this video of Tom Petty’s “I Should Have Known It” which he played last night on SNL (even better rendition).  Of all the genres of music made in the world, this, this is the greatest.  Don’t try to give it a name.YouTube Preview Image

In less than 24 hours the video below has hit the webz and gone viral.  It isn’t hard to figure out why.  Just watch.

I don’t even need to get into all the ways that clip is funny.  You know.  Here’s the rub: apparently, Boise cowbell girl is blind.  Feeling guilty?  I’m not and here’s why:

You see that?  Blind is an excuse for tripping over a curb, failing to make eye contact with the person you’re conversing with, or having those milky eyes.  Blind is not an excuse for being a passionless performer.  Still not convinced?  Exhibit B:

Bam.  Double blind!  Just hit you with some truth.  I hope that girl happens across this blog and has that creepy voice software that will read my wisdom aloud to her.  Seriously, this dude gave us one of the more inspired performances of the decade and he’s autistic.  Beethoven was DEAF.  I know, I know.  Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles are front and center, the highlight of their acts.  High school sports, by their nature, encourage excitement.  Rusty, all this babe has to work with is a cowbell!  Must I paint a picture?

Good luck, Christopher.  I hope the Boise State blind girl isn’t your doctor.
